Embracing sustainability in design not only benefits the environment and society but also enriches the design process itself. It challenges designers to think creatively, embrace local resources, and create products that are not only visually appealing but also ethical and environmentally responsible.
It’s always a huge pleasure when clients come back to you. We completely redesigned indulge’s brand in record time, that’s including the website. The team gave me complete creative freedom, with a tight brief of course, and we are all so happy with the results. This I think was one of those ideal situations.
During my trip back home to Scotland this year I went rummaging through old art work, work which my wonderful parents allow me to keep in the family attic. I do this sporadically when I go home, revisiting the young creative me, and honestly I’m almost always inspired by her.
This project was designed together with indulge- Interiors for Hospitality. It was an incredibly gratifying situation where the client said ‘I want that, don’t touch it’ referring to the first sketch. Of course I touched it.
We worked on this project right from the start, right from the actual naming process, and it was so much fun.
Though this working relationship ended with the pandemic it was an extremely fulfilling project to work on. Outward Bound being known world wide doing great work and of course with its birthplace in my own Bonny Scotland.
The client didn’t want the diamond to be really obvious within the logo icon, so we came up with the idea of creating some kind of a pathway, a three dimensional feeling which they loved.
